L'Affiche belge develops Belgian landscapes in posters and postcards

Throughout the summer, Vivacité's 7 regional outlets will be putting the spotlight on the local press. RTBF brings you the views and pens of journalists in the field, in Wallonia and Brussels, as part of "#Restart", RTBF's plan to support culture and the media, sectors hard hit by the Covid-19 crisis..

A few months ago, Carolos Antoine and François launched L'Affiche Belge, a poster and postcard business featuring Belgian landscapes and towns. "The concept comes from France, where it is already well established. But in Belgium, there was no postcard or poster company."says Anne-Camille Chapellejournalist at the Nouvelle Gazette Charleroi. "François and Antoine are both graphic designers. They launched the idea in Belgium because the diversity of landscapes isn't represented enough."

Their creations are tourism posters, "they look like comic strips. It's modern and very colorful. The posters represent a region, a city and its attributes. There are two formats: poster or postcard.

Several towns and regions are already represented: the Belgian coast with La Pane or Knokke, Mons, the Lion's Hill in Waterloo. "And now there's the Charleroi region too, because they were fed up of hearing that there was nothing beautiful in their city. François and Antoine's goal is to be able to tour Belgium with their creations..”
